Master of Science in Nursing

Mennonite College of Nursing offers the Master of Science in Nursing degree with three specialization sequences

  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Nursing Systems Administration (NSA)
  • Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)
  • Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (GNP)

In addition, two certificate options are also offered:

  • Post-Master's FNP Certificate
  • Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate


Purposes of the Master's Program in nursing are to:

  • prepare nurses for advanced practice in health care
  • prepare graduates to assume leadership roles within the health care system at the regional, state, and national levels
  • prepare nurses who can identify researchable problems, participate in conducting research, and promote the use of research findings in practice; and
  • provide the foundation for doctoral study
