Hartford Foundation grant recipient
Our special initiative programs take student learning beyond the classroom while students provide much-needed health care and education to the community.
Through geriatric initiatives, such as the Joe Warner Teaching Nursing Home and Extension, Hartford Heritage and modules, students learn more about providing quality long-term care.
Students have the opportunity to reach out to their community by participating in service initiatives, such as teaching health issues to Irving School students and the Women's First Program.
The Transcultural Program, a teaching initiative, provides students with a cultural experience, while providing health care in a setting that may be new to them.
